!Notes: John Greer desposed that he was bitten by a rattle-snake in
the
weeds about 30 perches above the mouth of the Long Green River and
further,
that he was 50 years old at the time. This reference places his
birth at 1688.

!Notes: John Greer was a planter and land speculator. Maryland
records indicate
he bought and rented land from 1718 to 1720 and he sold it from
1747 to 1748.
No records are found after 1748. His wife, Sarah did not sign any
land sale
in 1747 or 1748. She is believed to have died prior to these dates.
