William Greer 
William was born in 1705 in Baltimore Co. Md. William's father was John GREER and his mother was Sarah Day. His paternal grandparents were James Greer and Ann Taylor; his maternal grandparents are Nichols Day and Sarah. He had six brothers and two sisters, named James, Moses, John S., Aquilla, Benjamin, Joseph, Ann and Sarah. He had two half-brothers and two half-sisters, and also a half-sibling of unknown gender, named John, Thomas, ELIZEBETH, Eleanor and UKNOWN. He died at the age of 97 in 1802 in Franklin Co. Va. He was buried after 1785 in Franklin County, Virginia, United States.General Notes

He served as a Captain under Col James Calloway in the American
Revolution.
He was Justice of the Peace, member of the Legislature and
Presiding Judge
of Franklin County. He was a large land owner and had many slaves.

to Bedford
Co. Virginia where he is recognized as owning 195 acres on the
