Lucy was born on October 25th, 1816 in STAUNTON, VA, Franklin. Lucy's father was EZEKIEL (SR) Greer and her mother was Jemima Saunders. Her paternal grandparents were James GREER and Elizabeth Greer; her maternal grandparents were Philemon SAUNDERS and Jemima GREER. She had four brothers and two sisters, named Henry T., Moses, Berry L., EZEKIEL Greer, Eliza and Polly. She was the second oldest of the seven children.
