Alice de Eu was born about 1180 in Shenton, Leicestershire, England.  Alice de Eu's father was Henry II de Eu de Hastings and her mother was Maud de Warenne Plantagenet.  Her paternal grandparents were John de Hastings de Eu and Alice d'Aubigny de Albini; her maternal grandparents were Hamelin Plantagenet of Anjou and Isabel de Warenne. She had a brother and a sister, named Raoul and Emma.  She was the oldest of the three children. She had a half-brother named Pierre.  She died in La Mothe-Saint-Heray, Poitou.  She was buried in Fontblanche Priory, Exoudun.

‌Alice de Eu and Raoul I were married in a religious ceremony about 1191.  They had two sons and two daughters, named Guarin, Raoul III d'Exoudun, Jehanne and Maud de Lusignan.
