Geoffrey V the Fair Plantagenet of was born on August 24th, 1113 in Anjou, France.  Geoffrey V the Fair Plantagenet of's father was Fulk V (Foulques) Le Jeune of Anjou and his mother was Ermengarde of Maine.  His paternal grandparents were Fulk IV (Foulques) the Rude of Anjou and Bertrada de Montfort; his maternal grandparents were Helias of Maine and Matilde de Chateau-du-Loir. He had a brother and two sisters, named Helias of, Isabella (Matilda) of and Sybill of. He had two half-brothers named Baldwin III of and Amalric I of.  He died at the age of 38 on September 7th, 1151 in Chateau-du-Loire,  Eure-Et-Loire, Le Mans, Maine, France.  He was buried in 1151 in St. Julian's Church, Le Mans, Anjou.

‌Geoffrey V the Fair Plantagenet of and Matilda the Empress of were married in a religious ceremony on May 22nd, 1128 in Le Mans Cathedral, Anjou, France.  They had three sons and a daughter, named Henry II Curtmantle FitzEmpress of, Geoffrey VI Plantagenet of, William Plantagenet of and Emma.
