Isabella's father was Edward I Longshanks Plantagenet of England and her mother was Eleanor of Castile & Leon. Her paternal grandparents were Henry III Plantagenet of England and Eleanor Berenger of Provence; her maternal grandparents were Ferdinand III the Saint of Castile & Leon and Johanna de Danmartin of Ponthieu. She had four brothers and ten sisters, named John, Henry, Alfonso, Edward II Caernarvon of, Eleanor, Julian Katherine, Joan of Acre, Margaret, Berengaria, Elizabeth, Beatrice, Blanche, Mary and Alice. She had three half-brothers and a half-sister, named Thomas Plantagenet of, Edmund Plantagenet of, John and Eleanor.-
