Marie (Mary) of was born in 1174.  Marie (Mary) of's father was Henry I the Liberal de Champagne and her mother was Marie Capet of France.  Her paternal grandparents were Theobald III the Great of Blois and Mathilda von Sponheim of Carinthia; her maternal grandparents were Louis VII Capet the Younger of France and Eleanor of Aquitaine. She had two brothers and a sister, named Henry II Palatine of, Theobald III of and Scholastica of.  She was the youngest of the four children.  She died at the age of 30 on August 9th, 1204.
