Thomas Grigsby Ritchie 
Thomas Grigsby was born in 1804 in Virginia.1 Thomas Grigsby's father was Alexander Crockett Ritchie and his mother was Elizabeth Susan Grigsby. His maternal grandfather was Benjamin Grigsby and his maternal grandmother is Elizabeth Duncan. He had seven brothers and four sisters, named James Monroe, John, Hiram, Nicholas, Gabriel, Oriah, Alexander Crockett, Naoma, Elizabeth, Mary and Nancy. He was the oldest of the twelve children. He died at the age of 74 in 1878 in Clear Creek, Perry Co., Kentucky.1 General Notes
