Mary Aline was born on February 24th, 1911 in Whitewright, Grayson Co., Texas.1 Mary Aline's father was James A. Garfield Cecil and her mother was Kate Means. Her maternal grandparents were Caleb Sewell Means and Docia Emeline Norris. She has five brothers and five sisters, named Paul Grissom, Clarence, James Haskell (Hack), Kent Byrn, William Russell, Evelyn Docia, Roxie Ellis, Gladys Grace, Faye and Raye.
