Azel Means 
Azel was born on October 28th, 1804 in Randolph Co., North Carolina.1 Azel's father was Benjamine Means and his mother is Ellenda Bickerdite. His paternal grandparents were Andrew Means and Nancy Gray. He had four brothers and five sisters, named Adam, Henry, Asa W., William, Margaret, Annie, Lydia, Mary and Nancy Caroline. He was the oldest of the ten children. He died at the age of 53 on April 8th, 1858 in Clinton Co., Kentucky.1 General Notes
