Kent Byrn was born on October 3rd, 1913 in Wapenucka, Jonston Co., Oklahoma.1 Kent Byrn's father was James A. Garfield Cecil and his mother was Kate Means. His maternal grandparents were Caleb Sewell Means and Docia Emeline Norris. He has four brothers and six sisters, named Paul Grissom, Clarence, James Haskell (Hack), William Russell, Evelyn Docia, Mary Aline, Roxie Ellis, Gladys Grace, Faye and Raye.
