Samuel Green (Sam) was born on March 3rd, 1926 in Warren Co., Kentucky.1 Samuel Green (Sam)'s father was Samuel 'Green' Basham and his mother was Alta Florence (Altie) Lemasters. His paternal grandparents were Benajah Anderson Basham and Nancy E. Turner. He had five brothers and three sisters, named Millard Thomas, James Marion, John Vollie, Charles Frank, Living, Minnie Pearl, Urline B. and Living. He had seven half-brothers and four half-sisters, named William Henry (Evans), Riley Palestine (Tiny), Lonnie Valentine, Edward Calvin, Morgan Mayberry, Velmer, Tony Bedford, Mary Isbell, Ellen Paradine, Nellie Caroline and Bennie Jane. He died at the age of 65 on November 22nd, 1991.1 General Notes
