John Piper 
John was born about 1858 in Mercer Co.,KY. John's father was William Chauncey Piper and his mother was Mary Lavinia Sims. His paternal grandparents were Edward Herndon Piper and Anna Blackburn. He had three brothers and three sisters, named Augustus Bowman, Edward Sims, Richard Ricketts, Lucy C., Frances Ann Thomas and Mary. He was the oldest of the seven children. He died about 1858 in in infancy at Mercer Co.,KY.General Notes
