Eleanor was born about 1318 in Grismond Castle, Monmouthshire, Wales.  Eleanor's father was Henry Plantagenet and her mother was Maud De Chaworth.  Her paternal grandparents were Edmund Crouchback Plantagenet and Blanche D' Artois; her maternal grandparents were Patrick De Chaworth and Isabel De Beauchamp. She had a brother and two sisters, named Henry Of Grosmont, Maud and Joan.  She was the second youngest of the four children.  She died in Arundel Castle, Sussex, England.  She was buried in Lewes, Sussex, England.
