Aymer Taillefer was born about 1160 in Angouleme, Aquitaine, Charente, France.  Aymer Taillefer's father was Guillaume IV Taillefer De Angouleme and his mother was Marguerite De Turenne.  His paternal grandparents were Wulgrim II Taillefer De Angouleme and Ponce De Montgomery; his maternal grandparents were Raymond I Vicomte De Turenne and Maud Du Perche. He had a half-brother and a half-sister, named Wulgrim Taillefer and Humberge De.  He died in 1218 in Abbey, La Couroun, France.  He was buried in L'abbey La Couro, France.
