Aveline was born about 1248 in Shere, Surrey, England.  Aveline's father was John Justiciar Of Ireland Fitzgeoffrey and her mother was Isabel Bigod.  Her paternal grandparents were Geoffrey Fitzpiers and Eveline Aveline De Clare; her maternal grandparents were Hugh Bigod and Maud Marshal. She had three sisters named Isabel, Maud and Joan.  She was the second youngest of the four children. She had two half-sisters named Margaret De and Maud Matilda De.  She died on May 20th, 1274.

‌Aveline and Walter De were married in a religious ceremony about 1257 in Surrey, Kent, England.  They had a son named Richard The Red De.
