Services for Bernard Benjamin SCHWAMBERGER Sr., 89, of Wheelersburg Rt. 2, who died Saturday in Southern Hills Hospital, are to be conducted Tuesday at 10 a.m. at St. Peter's Catholic Church, of which he was a member.
A native of Wheelersburg and a retired farmer, he was a former Scioto County commisioner and a member of Holy Name Society and Farm Bureau.
Preceded in death by his wife, Mrs.s Mary Helen BIHL SCHWAMBERGER, in 1967 he is survived by three sons, Bernard jr., 5569 Cherry St., Sciotoville, Frank of Franklin Ave., Wheelersburg Rt. 1, and Albert of Lick Run Rd., Wheelersburg Rt. 2; six daughters, Mrs. Christine DELABAR, 3906 Pleasant Ave., New Boston, Mrs. Margaret SHERMAN of Dogwood Ridge Rd., Wheelersburg Rt. 1, Mrs. Beatrice SCHWAB of Ironton Rt. 2, Mrs. Agnes KLINE of Powellsville R., Wheelersburg Rt. 3, and Mrs. Mildred COOK of Franklin Furnance; a brother, Harry SCHWAMBERGER of Sciotoville; three sisters, Mrs. Edna GEMPERLINE, 1326 Fourth St., Mrs. Christina ESSMAN, 1239 Gallia St., and Mrs. Minnie WIDDIG of Portsmouth; 28 grandchildren and 23 great-grandchildren.
Rev. T. Edward HOPPING is to officiate at the services, with interment in the church cemetery.
Friends may call at Harrison Funeral Home where recitation of the rosary is planned tonight at 7:30.
