SCHWAMBERGER
Harry F. SCHWAMBERGER, 97, a former resident of Marshal Avenue, Sciotoville, the Kent Apartments and Horizon Apartments, died this morning at Scioto Memorial Hospital after a long illness.
A native of Germany Hollow, Vernon Township, and a retured steelworker at the former Empire-Detroit Steel Corp., he was a World War I Army veteran.
He was preceded in death by his first wife, Isbella JENKINS SCHWAMBERGER, in August 1970, and second wife, Elizabeth RICKEY SCHWAMBERGER, in February.
Surviving are a son, Joe SCHWAMBERGER of Charlotte, N.C.; a stepson, Richard RICKEY of Kenner, La.; two daughters, Mrs. Chester (Mary) WESSELL, 1037 Pinehurst St., Wheelersburg, and Mrs. Gilbert (Helen) BOLTON, 1533 Farney Ave., Sciotoville; two step-daughters, Rowena PROCTOR of Yuma, Ariz., and Helen DUNCAN of Linden Avenue; 18 grandchildren; 34 great-grandchildren; and two great-great-grandchildren.
Service is 10:30 a.m. Saturday at Edgewood Abbey Mausoleum, with the Rev. Richard NORRIS officiating, and interment in Memorial Burial Park.
Friends may call at Don Wolfe Funeral Home in Sciotoville from 9 to 10 a.m. Saturday.
