                                  ESSMAN

      WHEELERSBURG - Christina ESSMAN, 95, of Wheelersburg, died Monday at Mercy Hospital.
      A Lyra native, a member of Holy Redeemer Catholic Church and a retired store clerk, she was preceded in death by her husband, Fred ESSMAN, in 1934.
      Survivors include four daughters, Edna DELABAR and Marcella SIMON, both of Sciotoville, Leona EVANS of McDermott Rt. 2 and Mildred KLINE of Pedro;  a brother, Harry SCHWAMBERGER of Portsmouth, a sister, Edna GEMPERLINE of Indiana;  18 grandchildren and 16 great-great-grandchildren.
      Services are planned at 10 a.m. Thursday at the church, with Father Francis MILLER officiating, and burial in St. Peter's Cemetery.
      Friends may call at the Melcher Funeral Home from 7 to 9 tonight and 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. Wednesday, where recitation of the rosary is planned at 7:30 p.m. Wednesday.
