Francis COURTENAY 
Francis was born about 1576 in Of Powderham, Devonshire.1 Francis' father was William COURTENAY and his mother was Elizabeth MANNERS. His paternal grandparents were William COURTENAY and Elizabeth PAULET; his maternal grandparents were Henry MANNERS and Margaret NEVILLE. He had five brothers and four sisters, named William, George, John, Alexander, Edward, Bridget, Elizabeth, Margaret and Margeret. He died in 1638.
