Maud was born in 1237 in Bernard Castle, Warwick, England.  Maud's father was Sir John de Mandeville and her mother was Isabel Bigod.  Her paternal grandparents were Geoffrey fitz Piers and Aveline de Clare; her maternal grandparents were Ralph Le Bigod and Berta Furnival. She had two brothers and four sisters, named Richard FitzJohn, John FitzJohn, Isabella, Aveline, Joan and Isabella.  She was the oldest of the seven children.  She died at the age of 64 on April 16th, 1301 in Elmley Castle, Worcestershire, England.  She was buried on May 7th, 1301 in Grey Friars, Worcester, England.


Maud's first family with William De Beauchamp

‌Maud and William were married in a religious ceremony about 1260 in Worchestershire, England.  They had three sons and five daughters, named Robert, Guy, John, Isabel, Anne, Amy, Margaret and Matilda Maud.
