Geoffrey was born in 1102 in New Temple Church, Essex, England. Geoffrey's father was William de Mandeville and his mother was Margaret de Rie. He died at the age of 42 on September 16th, 1144 in Mildenhall, Suffolk, England. He was buried in New Temple Church, Holborn, Suffolk, England.-
