William was born in 1237 in Elmley Castle, Worcestershire, England.  William's father was William De Beauchamp and his mother was Isabel de Mauduit.  His paternal grandparents were Walcheline (Walter) De Beauchamp and Joane (Isabel) De Mortimer; his maternal grandparents were William de Maudit and Alice de Newburgh. He had four brothers and five sisters, named Walter, John, Thomas, James, Maud, Joan, Sybil, Sarah and Isabel.  He was the second oldest of the ten children.  He died at the age of 61 on June 9th, 1298 in Elmley Castle, Worcestershire, England.  He was buried on June 22nd, 1298 in Grey Friars, Worcester, England.

‌William and Maud were married in a religious ceremony about 1260 in Worchestershire, England.  They had three sons and five daughters, named Robert, Guy, John, Isabel, Anne, Amy, Margaret and Matilda Maud.
