Mary was born on December 7th, 1542 in Linlithgow Palace, Linlithgow, West Lothian, Scotland.  Mary's father was James V Stuart and her mother was Marie De Guise.  Her paternal grandparents were James IV Stuart and Margaret Tudor. She had two brothers named James and Arthur.  She was the youngest of the three children. She had three half-brothers named James, Robert and John.  She died in Executed at Fotheringhay.

‌Mary and Henry were married in a religious ceremony on July 29th, 1565 in Holyrood Abbey, Edinburgh, Scotland.  They had a son named James I.
