James II was born on October 16th, 1430 in Holyrood, Edinburgh. Scotland.  James II's father was James I Stuart and his mother was Joan De Beaufort.  His paternal grandparents were Robert (John) III Stuart and Annabella Drummond; his maternal grandparents were John Beaufort and Margaret de Holand. He had a brother and six sisters, named Alexander, Margaret, Isabella, Eleanor, Joanna, Mary and Joan.  He died at the age of 29 on August 3rd, 1460 in Roxburghs Castle, Kelso, Scotland.

‌James II and Mary were married in a religious ceremony on July 3rd, 1449 in Holyrood Abbey, Edinburgh. Scotland.  They had four sons and two daughters, named James III, Alexander, David, John, Mary and Margaret.
