Robert II De Bruce was born in Dundonald, Kyle, Co Argyll, Scotland.  Robert II De Bruce's father was Walter Allan Stuart and his mother was Marjorie De Bruce.  His paternal grandparents were Sir James Stuart and Egidia De Burgh; his maternal grandparents were Robert De Bruce and Isabella Matilda Stuart. He had two half-sisters named Egidia and Jean.  He died on April 19th, 1390 in Dundonald Castle, Dundonald, Co Argyll, Scotland.

‌Robert II De Bruce and Euphemia were married in a religious ceremony on May 2nd, 1355.  They had three sons and a daughter, named John, Sir David, Walter and Egidia.

They had five sons and four daughters, named Robert (John) III, Robert, John III, Walter, Alexander "The Wolf", Isabel, Katherine Jean Elizabeth, Margaret and Jean.
