William IV was born about 1175 in of Bramber, Sussex, England & Gower, Wales.1   William IV's father was Lord William III de Braose and his mother was Maudede St. Valery.  His paternal grandparents were William II de Braose and Bertha de Gloucester; his maternal grandparents were Bernard IV of St. Valery and Maud. He had four brothers and two sisters, named William, William IV, Reginald de, William, Margaret and Margaret.  He was the second oldest of the seven children.  He died in 1210 in Corfe, Windsor, England.  He was buried in By starvation, walled up in Corfe Castle ordered by King John.2 1

‌William IV and Maud de were married in a religious ceremony in 1197.  They had a son named John.
