Edward I was born on June 17th, 1239 in Westminster, Middlesex, England.  Edward I's father was Henry III of England King and his mother was Eleanor of Provence.  His paternal grandparents were King John ("Lackland") Plantagenet and Isabella de Taillefer [Queen of Englan). He had two brothers and two sisters, named Edmund of, Edmund of, Margaret of Princess of and Margaret of Princess of.  He was the third oldest of the five children.  He died at the age of 68 on July 7th, 1307 in Burgh-On-The-Sands, Cumberland, England.
