Edward I was born on June 17th, 1239 in Westminster, Middlesex, England. Edward I's father was Henry III of England King and his mother was Eleanor of Provence. His paternal grandparents were King John ("Lackland") Plantagenet and Isabella de Taillefer [Queen of Englan).
