Eleanor was born in 1122.  Eleanor's father was Guillaume X , Duke of Aquitaine and her mother was Eleanor de Chastellerault.  Her paternal grandparents were Guillaume IX , Duke of Aquitaine and Maud of Toulouse; her maternal grandparents were Aimery I , Vicount of Chastellerault and Dangerose.  She was an only child.
