Adelmodede was born about 1022 in of Toulouse,France.  Adelmodede's father was Bernard I , Count de la Haute Marche and her mother was Amelie d'Aulnay.  Her paternal grandparents were Adalbert I , Count de la Haute Marche and Almode of Limoges; her maternal grandfather was Cadelon IV , Vicomte of Aulnay. She had a brother named Alberic III , Count.  She died on November 17th, 1075 in Murdered.

They had a son named Hugues VI, "le Diable".
