Edith Matilda "Atheling" was born in 1079 in Dunfermline,Fife,Scotland.  Edith Matilda "Atheling"'s father was Malcolm III "Canmore" , King of Albany and her mother was Margaret "the Saint" of England.  Her paternal grandparents were Duncan I MacCrinan , King of Albany and Sibyl fitz Seward; her maternal grandparents were Edward "Aethling" , Prince of England and Agatha of West Friesland. She had four brothers and a sister, named St. David I, Edward, Alexander I, Edgar and Mary. She had a half-brother named Duncan II.  She died at the age of 39 on May 1st, 1118 in WinCheshire,Hampshire,England.
