Margaret "the Saint" was born in 1045 in Hungary.  Margaret "the Saint"'s father was Edward "Aethling" , Prince of England and her mother was Agatha of West Friesland.  Her paternal grandparents were Edmund II "Ironside" of England and Sigefrith\ Ealgyth of Northumbria; her maternal grandparents were Ludolf , Markgraf in West Friesland and Gertruda of Egisheim. She had a brother named Edgar "Atheling".  She was the younger of the two children.  She died at the age of 48 on November 16th, 1093 in Edinburgh Castle,North Lothia,Scotland.  She was buried in Dumferermline,Fife,Scotland.

‌Margaret "the Saint" and Malcolm III "Canmore" were married in a religious ceremony.  They had four sons and two daughters, named St. David I, Edward, Alexander I, Edgar, Edith Matilda "Atheling" and Mary.
