Isabel Fitzgilbert was born about 1172 in Of,Pembroke,Pembrokeshire,Wales and her baptism took place in 84ZX-1K.1   Isabel Fitzgilbert's father was Richard Strongbow Fitzgilbert de Clare and her mother was Eva (Aoife) McMurrough.  Her paternal grandparents were Gilbert "Strongbow" de Clare and Isabel (Elizabeth) de Beaumont; her maternal grandparents were Dermot MacMurrough King of Leinster and Mor Ingen Muirchertaig O'Toole. She had a brother and three sisters, named Gilbert, Basilia De, Joan and Alina.  She died in 1220 in ,Pembroke,Pembrokeshire,Wales.  She was buried in Tintern Abbey,Tintern,Monmouthshire,England.2 1
