Dermot MACMURROUGH (1110- 1171), King of Leinster, a reasonable assumption as her maiden name was MURRAY. :-) His daughter, Princess Aoife, married the Norman leader, Richard Fitzgilbert de Clare, Earl of Pembroke, also known as Strongbow, so naturally we were related to them as well -- until the day I read of how one of their sons had run away from battle. Strongbow cut off his legs so that he would not do it again. "Oh no," exclaimed my mother in horror. "We're not related to people like THAT!"
