Raymond Edward was born on March 7th, 1909 in Monroe County, Indiana. Raymond Edward's father was Harrison Eads and his mother was Nellie M. Shields. His paternal grandparents were Peter Eads and Sarah A.( Nuckles) Knockolls; his maternal grandparents were Joseph H. Shields and Ella F. Musser. He had two brothers and a sister, named Orville Morris, Joseph Ancil "Toots" and Wanda I.. He was the oldest of the four children. He died at the age of 61 on February 13th, 1971 in Monroe County, Indiana. He was buried in Clear Creek Cemetery, Clear Creek, Monroe Co., Indiana.-
