Eliza Jane Pope 
Eliza Jane was born in May 1835 in Monroe County, Indiana. Eliza Jane's father was Simon Pope and her mother was Rebecca Prince. Her paternal grandparents were Williamson Pope and Maryan Margaret Maples. She had a brother and three sisters, named William R., Elizabeth, Sara Jane and Tabitha Ann. She died at the age of 80 on November 15th, 1915 in Harrodsburg, Clear Creek Township, Monroe Co., Indiana.General Notes
She used the name Mary. Also used the middle names of Polk and Hope. On
one occasion she used the name Clara (In Marriage Bk7, Pg 139) when Mary
J. was married. Lived in Perry Twp in the 1860 census. In Smithville,
Polk Twp in 1870 census. Used the last name Coner in 1880 census.

Woman Dies in 80th Year
Mrs. Mary Conner, 80 years old, died at seven o'clock last night of
senility at the home of her son, James at Harrodsburg. She is survived by
thirteen children. The children are : William, Charles, James, Samuel,
and Mrs. Nettie Strain and Mrs. Millie Deckard, Harrodsburg; Lewis, of
Allens Creek; Forest, of Oolitic; Mrs. Catherine Deckard and Mrs. Louise
Cazee, Allens Creek; Mrs. Flora Smith, Peerless; Mrs. Ida Siscoe, Handy
School House; Mrs. Sarah Eads, Smithville. The funeral will be held
tomorrow.
Eliza Jane and William B. were married in a religious ceremony on May 9th, 1852 in Monroe County, Indiana. They had a daughter named Sarah A.( Nuckles).

Eliza Jane and Alexander were married in a religious ceremony on July 21st, 1853 in Monroe County, Indiana.
