Deckard and Catherine Hillenburg; his maternal grandparents were William Eads and Nancy Miller. He had four brothers and two sisters, named Napoleon Budd, King Perry, Benjamin, Richard, Sara Artemesia and Catherine Katy. He was the third oldest of the seven children.
