Ollie was born on July 13th, 1884. Ollie's father was George Washington Deckard and her mother was Martha Mize. Her paternal grandparents were John Wesley Deckard and Malissa Eads. She had six brothers and three sisters, named Clarence Jackie, Lawrence Brigham, Floyd Washington Jake, Leonard Buck, General Sanford, Hobert "Hobie", Sarah, Rosetta and Eva Jane.
