Joseph Andrew Buchanan

Joseph Andrew was born on November 26th, 1888 in Of, Hawkins, Tennessee.  Joseph Andrew's father was William Allen Buchanan and his mother was Elizabeth Jane Hawkins.  His paternal grandfather was John Buchanan; his maternal grandparents were Solomon Hawkins and Mary James. He had three brothers and four sisters, named James A., George Alexander, Chester Venoy, Lucinda Laport, Mary E., Effie May and Ann.  He was the third youngest of the eight children. He had three half-brothers and two half-sisters, named Millard Fillmore, Winfield S., Robert Grant, Sarah C. and Alice.
