George Alexander Buchanan

George Alexander was born on November 18th, 1877 in Of, Hawkins, Tennessee.  George Alexander's father was William Allen Buchanan and his mother was Elizabeth Jane Hawkins.  His paternal grandfather was John Buchanan; his maternal grandparents were Solomon Hawkins and Mary James. He had three brothers and four sisters, named James A., Chester Venoy, Joseph Andrew, Lucinda Laport, Mary E., Effie May and Ann.  He was the third oldest of the eight children. He had three half-brothers and two half-sisters, named Millard Fillmore, Winfield S., Robert Grant, Sarah C. and Alice.
