James A. Buchanan

James A. was born on April 25th, 1876 in Of, Hawkins, Tennessee.  James A.'s father was William Allen Buchanan and his mother was Elizabeth Jane Hawkins.  His paternal grandfather was John Buchanan; his maternal grandparents were Solomon Hawkins and Mary James. He had three brothers and four sisters, named George Alexander, Chester Venoy, Joseph Andrew, Lucinda Laport, Mary E., Effie May and Ann.  He was the second oldest of the eight children. He had three half-brothers and two half-sisters, named Millard Fillmore, Winfield S., Robert Grant, Sarah C. and Alice.  He died at the age of 64 on May 2nd, 1940.
