Edward II was born on April 25th, 1284 in Caernarvon Castle, Caernarvonshire, Wales.1   Edward II's father was Edward I Plantagenet and his mother was Alianore de Castille Cts de Ponthieu.  His paternal grandparents were Henry III Plantagenet and Eleonore Berenger; his maternal grandparents were St. Ferdinand III King of Castile & León and Johanna de Dammartin Cts de Ponthieu. He had three brothers and eight sisters, named John, Henry, Alphonso, Aliaonor, Joan of Acre Plantagenet, Breengaria, Elizabeth, Margaret, Mary, Joan and Katherine. He had three half-brothers and a half-sister, named Thomas de Brotherton, Edmund Plantagenet of Woodstock, John and Eleanor.  He died  due to Disembowelled at orders of Roger de Mortimer & Edward's wife Isabella. at the age of 43 on September 21st, 1327 in Berkeley Castle, Gloucestershire, England.  He was buried in Gloucester Cathedral.1
