Joan of Acre Plantagenet was born in 1272 in Palestine.1   Joan of Acre Plantagenet's father was Edward I Plantagenet and her mother was Alianore de Castille Cts de Ponthieu.  Her paternal grandparents were Henry III Plantagenet and Eleonore Berenger; her maternal grandparents were St. Ferdinand III King of Castile & León and Johanna de Dammartin Cts de Ponthieu. She had four brothers and seven sisters, named John, Henry, Alphonso, Edward II, Aliaonor, Breengaria, Elizabeth, Margaret, Mary, Joan and Katherine. She had three half-brothers and a half-sister, named Thomas de Brotherton, Edmund Plantagenet of Woodstock, John and Eleanor.  She died at the age of 35 in 1307 in England.1
