John Lane

John was born on May 29th, 1784. John's father was William Lane and his mother was Mary Dow. His paternal grandparents are Deacon William Lane and Rachel Ward; his maternal grandparents were Samuel Dow and Mary Batchelder. He had six brothers and a sister, named William, Samuel, Joshua, Meshech, Joel, William and Mary. He was the fourth oldest of the eight children.
