István Körtvélyesy

István was born on December 13th, 1829 in Szabadka and his baptism took place in Szabadka Szent Teréz.¹

István's father was Imre Körtvélyesy and his mother was Julianna Padzser.  His paternal grandparents were Antal Körtvélyesi and Katalin Varga. He had seven brothers and three sisters, named István, Imre, József, Lukács, József, József, József, Rozália, Julianna and Rozália.  He was the fourth oldest of the eleven children.  He died at the age of 72 on July 27th, 1902 in Szabadka.²
