József László Körtvélyesi

József was born in May 1842 in Szabadka and his baptism took place there on May 29th, 1842.¹   József's father was Imre Körtvélyesy and his mother was Julianna Padzser.  His paternal grandparents were Antal Körtvélyesi and Katalin Varga. He had seven brothers and three sisters, named István, Imre, István, József, Lukács, József, József, Rozália, Julianna and Rozália.  He was the third youngest of the eleven children.
