József Körtvélyesi

József was born in March 1848 in Szabadka and his baptism took place there on March 1st, 1848.¹   József's father was Imre Körtvélyesy and his mother was Julianna Padzser.  His paternal grandparents were Antal Körtvélyesi and Katalin Varga. He had seven brothers and three sisters, named István, Imre, István, József, Lukács, József, József, Rozália, Julianna and Rozália.  He was the youngest of the eleven children.
