István Körtvélyesi

István was born in August 1884 in Ada and his baptism took place there on August 20th, 1884.¹   István's father was György Körtvélyesi and his mother was Anna Oláh.  His paternal grandparents were Imre Körtvélyesi and Teréz Tóbiás. He had six brothers and two sisters, named Pál, József, Julianna, Kálmán, Lajos, István, Erzsébet and Anna.  He was the fourth oldest of the nine children. He had a half-brother named Gábor.
