Jane was born on April 26th, 1741 in Oulton, Staffordshire, UK.  Jane's father was Thomas BOX and her mother is Anna PADMORE.  Her paternal grandfather was John BOX and her paternal grandmother is Jane DOD. She had five brothers and three sisters, named Thomas, John, William, Gulielmus, George, Maria, Ann and Elizabeth.  She is the eighth oldest of the nine children.
