Martha Whitford

Martha was born on January 21st, 1740 in Exeter, Washington, Rhode Island, USA.¹ Martha's father was John Whitford and her mother is Martha Tefft. Her paternal grandparents were Pasco Whitford and Mary Stafford; her maternal grandfather was James Tefft and her maternal grandmother is Martha Sheffield. She had three brothers and five sisters, named Benjamin, John, Amos, Sarah, Lydia, Elizabeth, Mary and Mercy. She was the eighth oldest of the nine children. She died at the age of 42 on February 6th, 1782.¹
